STBA Junior Championships 2023 – Southern Tasmanian Badminton Association

We are hosting the annual STBA Junior Championships 2023 on Saturday the 9th December.

This is a one-day event for junior players, with categories from under 9’s up to under 19’s.

Based on feedback we received last year, for 2023 we will be playing out all under 9’s and under 11’s events in the morning, commencing at 9am with an approximate finish time of 12pm. under 13’s and older will follow our usual tournament schedule of singles matches in the morning followed by doubles and concluding with mixed doubles.

As this is an entry level tournament for our junior players all events will be in a round robin format. Players will be permitted to enter up to 4 events, with a maximum of 2 events per discipline (e.g a player may enter 2 singles, 1 double and 1 mixed doubles event. A player cannot 3 singles events and 1 doubles event to make up their 4 events.)

STBA follow the Badminton Australia age groups and therefor a player must be under the age as of the 31st December.
